Bingo In the Classroom

Playing bingo with pictures in the classroom is an excellent tool for:

introducing new vocabulary,
reviewing vocabulary that has already been taught,
learning/practicing the spelling of words and, in general,
getting and keeping students interested in the language by creating a joyful and exciting classroom environment.

Our version of bingo with pictures originated in EFL classes with 4-10 students per 60 minute class. Later, it was also used in kindergartens and schools with groups of 25 to 40 children and even at larger events and other special activities, often for festivities.
